If you’re wanting a winter wonderland wedding, Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC is your perfect wedding venue.
One perk of living in our beautiful British Columbia is that we get so many seasons! The Okanagan is excellent for summer weddings; spring time in the Fraser Valley is gorgeous; Vancouver is vibrant as ever in the fall. Whistler for a winter wedding, however? A match made in heaven! Right next to a glacier fed lake and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, if you’re wanting a winter wedding, we highly recommend Nita Lake Lodge.
This time last year we were packing up our cars and getting ready to set up a ceremony during covid times at Nita Lake Lodge. They were incredibly accommodating! We love winter weddings for many reasons; crisp mountain air, bundled up brides, and candle lit receptions that make for such a romantic memory.

As per their website, Nita Lake Lodge states they are a 4-diamond full service boutique hotel and can host both your ceremony and reception, or just a reception. There are countless locations to host both, so let’s break it down for you!
First of all, max capacity for your wedding or event is up to 130 guests. The largest out door ceremony location is their Porte-cochère, which “features an architectural design of Douglas-fir with decorative accents in western red cedar and has a prime view of Whistler Mountain Creekside.” You can see this in the photos above.
For a slightly smaller event seating of 80 guests, you can book their Lakeside Patio, which, you guessed it…has a view of Nita Lake! This makes for a gorgeous spot any time of the year. If you are hosting a more intimate ceremony, The Library is naturally lit, has a fireplace for the perfect ambience, and even has an outdoor patio! This room can be used year round and sits up to 30 people.

Reception wise, there are many room options to host your friends and family. The Nita Room and Foyer is a ballroom type venue that seats up to 130 guests. The Lakeside Restaurant space seats 70, but their private dining room seats 20. If you’re wanting a cozy, candle lit, intimate dinner of up to 30 guests, the Library is another great option.

The price range can vary from $1000-$3500 per space, but it has an option for every budget! However, this venue does require you to hire professionals for decor, florals, DJs and their equipment, so consider that in your cost.
