Hycroft Manor in Vancouver
A downtown Vancouver wedding venue so elegant that you’d swear Shakespeare wrote about it.
Every bride has a venue in mind for their special day, whether it’s a winery, a local farm or their family’s backyard (we have plenty of ideas for those coming soon). If you’re a couple who dreams of a castle wedding with a Juliet balcony, you actually don’t need to book a European getaway anytime soon! Hycroft Manor is minutes away from downtown Vancouver, as unbelievable as it may seem, and it checks off all of the romantic boxes.
According to their website, ‘In June 1962 the University Women’s Club of Vancouver acquired Hycroft, a magnificent Edwardian mansion located in Shaughnessy to use as its Clubhouse.’ It is a gorgeous, timeless and one of a kind option for weddings of up to 100 guests. As per their site, wedding ceremonies at Hycroft may require rentals of four hours, and a wedding ceremony and reception can be accommodated in 8 hours. However, with this gorgeous venue being close to Vancouver and in a residential neighbourhood, all rentals must be concluded by 11:00 p.m. This is non-negotiable.
Hycroft Manor is a rare gem of a wedding venue as it meshes classic architecture and vibrant gardens with city views.
In addition to indoor space, rental of the whole house for weddings includes:
Chairs set up for ceremony and reception
Access to the Terrace, the Rose Garden, and the Juliet Balcony
A member of staff to assist and greet your wedding planner, florist, deliveries etc
For your immediate wedding party only, a 1 hour complimentary rehearsal
A limited amount of parking (based on the day and time)
Two dressing room suites for the couple, including washrooms and solariums on the Upper Level of Hycroft
